The benefits of omega-3 cannot be overstated. With over 35,000 studies on its use, omega-3 offers various support to the body including improving heart health and reducing pain resulting from arthritis. Though you can get omega-3 by eating fish, many people find supplementing helpful to relieve joint and muscle pain, in addition to supporting overall health. If you don't want to take the omega-3 derived from fish, you can also take flaxseed oil. Some reviewers even say it helps with dry eye, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and even promoting healthy skin and nails.

Glucosamine Chondroitin, made from shellfish exoskeletons, could help sufferers of arthritis and subsequent pain. Though research is not especially strong regarding this supplement, many enthusiastic reviewers would probably disagree.

Many people are deficient in this mineral, due to deficiency in the soil. According to this study, boron is "essential for the growth and maintenance of bone." It also supports wound healing, helps the body use hormones as well as vitamin D, and increases the absorption of magnesium, among other things that aid in reducing inflammation. Some people use it to increase testosterone, as well as alleviate symptoms of arthritis.

Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme found in pineapple. It has anti-inflammatory properties and some studies suggest that it could help to inhibit the growth of tumors.

People take bromelain for after-surgery pain and recovery, general pain and inflammation, digestive problems, and allergies. Quercetin and bromelain are sometimes taken together for a dual anti-inflammatory punch!

Indian frankincense, also known as Boswellia, has been studied for osteoarthritis and joint function. It has also been studied for inflammatory bowel disease. People who take boswellia note its helpfulness for joint pain.

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy for pain, and many people swear by its efficacy. Studies are mixed however, with some saying it helps with certain kinds of pain, and others saying there is no evidence of effectiveness. However, anecdotal reports are very positive. Arnica is also available as a topical solution for pain.

7. Turmeric ⭐(Our top pick)

Probably one of the most well-known supplements for inflammation is turmeric. Turmeric is a spice native to India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.

In studies, turmeric can improve skin health, reduce arthritic pain and other types of pain, and even improve symptoms stemming from Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and gingivitis.

There are over 6,800 studies on the uses of turmeric for different ailments, but the one thing many of these studies site is turmeric's main problem — absorption.

Thankfully, a new turmeric recently hit the market, and it's not liposomal turmeric, though liposomal turmeric has been a step up in terms of turmeric's effectiveness. This patented turmeric has helped so many already, and it's up to 277 times more absorbable than native turmeric. Two different mechanisms of action helps the turmeric get to cells like no other turmeric has been able to before!
